Dawn patrol surf sesh. I can’t feel my feet. All it takes is getting out of bed: Last night I decided that I wanted to surf this AM. This morning, warm, in bed, I almost decided that I did not. I started beating myself up about hitting snooze and realized that all it would take for me to get into the water, was to lift the covers and put my feet on the ground.  It’s like domino’s. If I just put my feet on the floor, I knew that the rest of the domino’s would eventually fall. The gnarliest step of diving into 50 degree ocean water with a 38 degree air temp (REDONK!) would just happen, I just had to get out of bed. It took me 15 minutes to convince force myself to take that first step, but eventually my feet were on the floor, and as expected it lead to a beautiful surf sesh. While it was freezing, and I was 1 of 4 guys crazy dudes in the water, it was awesome. Next time I’ll remember, all it takes is getting out of bed.
